RORE built a new LEED-Silver Child Development Center (CDC) to accommodate 122 children aged six weeks to five years. The CDC includes 14 age-specific rooms, reception area, staff/break room, storage, toilets, industrial kitchen, laundry, janitorial, and two outdoor activity areas. This project included extensive site/civil/underground utilities work (that RORE self-performed), landscaping, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, reinforced CMU exterior and standing seam roof, Anti-Terrorist Force Protection windows, telecom and audio/visual systems, and security systems for building access, Test and Balance (TAB), commissioning, as-builts, USGBC LEED-Silver Certification, and close-out.

Design-Build Renovation of Building 820 Fitness Center
Location: Luke Air Force Base, Arizona

RORE renovated the fitness center at Building 820 at Luke Air Force Base (AFB), Arizona. The scope of work for this project included renovation of the entire facility and new construction. The center was required to remain fully operational during construction and we worked closely with the client to ensure noise attenuation, dust control, and pedestrian safety controls. RORE renovated the gym and newly constructed parent/child room to increase activity space in cardio and weight lifting areas. The project was completed ahead of schedule.

Medical and Dental Building Expansion and Renovation of Kitchen and Dining Facilities, ICE Detention Center
Location: Florence, Arizona

RORE provided design-build of concrete masonry unit (CMU) addition to the medical and dental building and repair/renovation of the Support Service Building to include the kitchen, dining, and cooking areas. The project required more than 400 submittals; and all personnel adhered to stringent security requirements. Construction was ongoing at an operational facility. The project was completed with zero safety violations. Two additional projects were awarded to RORE as a result of this project.

Design-Build of 1st Marine Regimental Headquarters, Building 53346
Location: Camp Pendleton, California
Project Cost: $2.5M
Client: NAVFAC Southwest
RORE executed a design-build repair and renovation of the 1st Marine Regimental Headquarters Building at Camp Pendleton. The building is a two-story, concrete structure built in 1968. The renovation included a seismic retrofit with helical anchors and cast-in-place concrete sheer walls. Other scope included asbestos, mold, and lead abatement; new truss and standing seam roof system; new electrical POC; mechanical and plumbing upgrades; interior finishes; data, SIPRNET, and communication systems; and workstations, training room, and executive office furniture. RORE was awarded a STAR Safety award for outstanding safety practices; and received an “Above Average” CCASS rating.
